  • Perform regular inspections and maintenance on trailers, including brakes, suspension, tires, lights, electrical systems, and hydraulic systems.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems on trailers and tractors.
  • Weld and fabricate as needed to repair trailer bodies and frames.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs, including parts and labor.
  • Order and maintain inventory of necessary parts and supplies.
  • Operate various hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and specialized machinery.
  • Ensure a clean and organized work area to promote safe and efficient work practices.
  • Follow all safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with industry standards and technological advancements.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a diesel mechanic or trailer maintenance technician.
  • Strong knowledge of trailer systems, including brakes, suspension, tires, lights, electrical systems, and hydraulic systems.
  • Proficiency in diagnostic tools and techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
