Job Details

Caldwell Medical Center is seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team on a PRN basis.

Job Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and families. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care and evaluate outcomes
  • Consult with others as required and adjust nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care and patient outcomes
  • Document adequately and appropriately
  • Ensure that documentation reflects current patient status, changes in patient status, care and treatment being rendered, patient response to treatment and care, etc.
  • Ensure nursing related tasks are being completed in a safe, competent, appropriate and timely manner
  • Assist with training and orienting of new departmental staff as directed
  • Assist in maintaining established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality improvement program, safety, environmental and infection control standards
  • Assist in maintaining departmental reports and records as directed
  • Assist in implementing unit specific goals and objectives in keeping with overall nursing and organizational goals and objectives
  • Assess patient and family needs
  • Ensure adequate patient care based on patient needs by performing tasks as required
Requirements
  • High School Graduate or GED
  • Zero to six months of hospital or long term care based patient care experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Nurse Aide Training
  • One or more years of hospital based patient care experience
