Position Title: Sanitation Technician

Department: Processing Plant Operations

Reporting To: Processing Manager

Job Status: Full-Time Regular; Hourly Basis

Job Summary:

The Sanitation Technician is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the processing facility and equipment, ensuring that egg handling procedures meet the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to established protocols for product handling and packaging to fulfill customer expectations
  • Maintain a clean environment throughout the processing area
  • Ensure that machinery complies with company cleaning standards
  • Thoroughly clean and sanitize all facilities and equipment
  • Properly dispose of waste and trash on a daily basis
  • Maintain cleanliness in shower facilities
  • Stock towels, uniforms, and necessary supplies as required
  • Comply with USDA regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices, and other specified safety protocols
  • Monitor and manage inventories of products, cleaning supplies, and chemicals
  • Schedule regular cleaning of facility surfaces
  • Promptly report mechanical or quality issues and assist in their resolution
  • Prioritize safety, adhere to safety protocols, and report unsafe conditions
  • Operate equipment safely and contribute to a collaborative work environment
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (preferred)
  • Prior experience with egg grading machines is a plus but not mandatory
  • Strong reading and comprehension skills
  • Proficiency in English; Spanish fluency is desirable
  • Ability to lift 50lbs, bend, twist, and stand for extended periods on various surfaces
  • Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Capability to reach, lift overhead, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
