Business Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Account Representative to join our team at Westerkamp Group, LLC. As a key member of our client team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient and third-party hospital follow-up, billing, and re-billing services to our clients.

• Contact third-party payers to verify eligibility, obtain claim status, and take steps to properly resolve third-party claims.
• Work with Worker's Compensation and Third-Party Liability carriers to obtain claim information and submit claims and medical records as needed.
• Review account balances and technical denials and perform steps to overturn the denials.
• Review paper correspondence and take necessary action to resolve insurance payer requests.
• Additional duties as assigned.

• Ability to adhere to strict compliance guidelines related to HIPAA.
• Self-motivated and ability to work independently.
• Excellent telephone and communication skills.
• The ability to work with multiple patient accounting and billing systems.
• Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to analyze and submit cash posting payment and contractual adjustment errors.
• Willingness to learn new application systems and unique billing and collection requirements of our clients.
• Proficiency in computer skills.

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Hospital collections and follow-up experience preferred.
