Donation Attendant

We are seeking a highly skilled Donation Attendant to join our team at the Walkersville Store in Walkersville, Maryland. As a key member of our store team, you will be responsible for leading an excellent customer and brand experience, promoting sales for Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona, and ensuring that all donations are received and processed in a timely and courteous manner.
Key Responsibilities- Accept and process donations from customers, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that all items are properly labeled and placed in the production room or sales floor.
- Responsible for maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the production room and sales floor, adhering to Goodwill's standards and procedures.
- Assist customers with loading and unloading furniture or other items to and from vehicles, ensuring a safe and efficient experience.
- Conduct daily safety inspections on company-owned equipment, including walkie stackers, and ensure that all safety rules are followed and safety equipment is used properly.
- Perform other related duties as assigned, including cross-training in other store positions as needed.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to pass a forklift certification class and operate company-owned equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ability to speak and read English proficiently and communicate effectively with customers and team members.
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older and pass a background check and drug screen, where applicable for the position.
