Job Summary:

Froedtert Health is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will provide technical and clerical assistance to pharmacists in processing medication orders and monitoring drug therapy.

Responsibilities:

• Procure, measure, compound, count, and deliver medications under the supervision of a pharmacist.
• Function within the guidelines of the Wisconsin Statutes and Administrative Code - Pharmacy Examining Board - Pharmacy Practice Sections.
• Assist pharmacists in the processing of medication orders and monitoring of drug therapy.

Requirements:

• 1 year of work experience in a hospital pharmacy department is preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited pharmacy technician training program is preferred.
• Application for Wisconsin registration as a Pharmacy Technician is required by hire date and must be obtained within 12 months of hire.
• Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through passing the Pharmacy Technician Certification Boards exam (PTCE) or the National Healthcareer Associations exam (ExCPT) is required within 6 months of hire.
