Education Specialist

Job Title:

CLASSROOM TEACHER RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Summary:

To plan, organize, and implement an effective instructional program in an elementary or secondary learning environment that fosters student growth and development.

Work is performed under the supervision of the principal.
Key responsibilities include:

Developing and delivering lesson plans and instructional materials that promote active learning.
Creating schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessments that align with established procedures.
Instructing and monitoring students in the use of learning materials and equipment.
Utilizing technology to support and differentiate instruction.
Managing student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures.
Maintaining accurate and complete records of students' progress and development.
Providing feedback on work and encouraging student progress.
Participating in department, school, district, and parent meetings.
Communicating necessary information to students, colleagues, and parents regarding student progress and needs.
Establishing clear objectives for all learning activities.
Preparing the classroom for class activities.
Providing a variety of learning materials and resources for educational activities.
Observing and evaluating student performance and development.
Assigning and grading class work, homework, tests, and assignments.
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Demonstrate preparation and skill in working with students from diverse cultural, economic, and ability backgrounds.
Encourage parent and community involvement, obtain information for parents when requested, and promptly return phone calls and answer emails.
Participate in appropriate professional activities.
Participate in extracurricular activities as directed.
Other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:

Work is performed in a school environment with frequent interaction with students, colleagues, and parents. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances is essential.

Education and Experience:

Applicants must have a bachelor's degree in education or a related field and relevant teaching experience. A master's degree or higher is preferred.
