About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Soil and Asphalt Inspector to join our team at Thompson Engineering in Dallas, TX. As a key member of our CMT Department, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and accuracy of materials used in construction projects.

Estimated Salary: $58,000 - $68,000 per year, based on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect soil, asphalt, and concrete materials to ensure they meet company and client specifications
  • Test and analyze materials using various methods
  • Log in material samples and maintain accurate records
  • Communicate with clients and colleagues to ensure smooth project execution
  • Maintain a safe and healthy working environment

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • ACI Level II certification required
  • 2+ years of experience in construction materials testing
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
