Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Cashier-Cook to join our team at Carson Oil Company. As a Cashier-Cook, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, preparing food, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Main Responsibilities

• Provide a positive customer experience with friendly and courteous service.
• Direct preparation of station deli food menu.
• Maintain cleanliness and comply with all food sanitation, handling, and storage requirements.
• Operate cash register, Oregon lottery machine, and credit card terminals.
• Clean counters, work area, and equipment throughout shift.

Additional Responsibilities

• Learn, maintain, and operate all processes associated with the position, including paperwork and scheduling.
• Maintain a team environment with other employees and departments.
• Other duties as needed to help maintain a clean and professional environment.

Requirements

• Responsible to report to work at the scheduled time and be a team member who can be depended upon to complete work in a timely, accurate, and thorough manner.
• Will accurately handle money, including cash, checks, debit, credit, or house charges.
• Will have a strong attention to detail.
• Will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Will have excellent customer service skills.
• Will work independently and be self-motivated.
• Will do simple math, such as counting, recording, addition, subtraction, and multiplication.
• Have an excellent attendance record.
• Be available to fill in for co-workers on vacation or sick time.

Working Conditions

• Will stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
• Regularly maneuver up to 20 pounds.
• Exposure to variable temperatures (indoor, outdoor, walk-in cooler).
• Work with cleaning solvents and chemicals.
• Daily exposure to gasoline and oil products.
