Job Title: Industrial Electrical Foreman

Hunt Electric, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Industrial Electrical Foreman to join our team in Salt Lake City, UT. As a key member of our Industrial Division, you will be responsible for planning, designing, and executing electrical construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and supervise electrical construction crews, providing training and feedback as needed.
  • Plan and layout projects, including material take-off quantities and tool needs, based on project schedules.
  • Establish site-specific safety plans and evaluate project risks to mitigate them.
  • Implement electrical installations according to contract drawings and specifications.
  • Evaluate contracted scope of work with Project Managers to determine change requests and schedule impacts.
  • Coordinate and communicate with Project Managers and Purchasing Managers on material requisitions and delivery schedules.
  • Establish and implement prefab project-specific tasks.
  • Have a valid Driver's License.
Requirements:
  • Current Utah Journeyman license.
  • Five plus years of installation experience with the latest electrical code, means, and methods.
  • Ability to apply the latest technological techniques to maximize employee safety, quality, and production.
  • Superior internal and external communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Team player with acknowledging contributions by others.
  • Basic computer skills, including Outlook, Bluebeam, Word, and Excel.
  • Experience in food and beverage, manufacturing, automation, and controls, or wastewater treatment.
  • Previous successful supervision of projects with crews ranging from 2 to 50 personnel, meeting safety, quality, and production goals.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of electrical and electronic systems, including indoor and outdoor lighting systems and timing.
  • Knowledge of MHSA & OHSA Standards.
  • Knowledge of the installation of cable tray systems, tray cable installation, heat trace, rigid conduit bending and threading, motor control centers, and instrumentation.
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical problems, devise, and carry out effective plans for repairing problems.
  • Ability to communicate technical information, listen to instructions, and ask questions as necessary.
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret electrical plans, complex circuit schematics, and blueprints.
  • Ability to perform assigned work independently with minimal supervision.
