Ciorba Group, Inc. is a leading engineering solutions provider for water resources, roadway, structural, municipal, electrical, and lighting projects. We are seeking a highly skilled Stormwater Project Engineer to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, stormwater system design, and floodplain management. They will be responsible for leading projects, managing engineers and technicians, and ensuring the successful completion of project plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic analysis of floodplains and floodways, including bridge and culvert crossings;
  • Analyze flood problem areas to identify issues, develop alternative solutions, and design recommended alternatives;
  • Design stormwater systems for municipal and roadway projects, including conveyance, storage, and stormwater quality best management practices;
  • Develop and implement soil erosion and sediment control practices;
  • Manage projects, including calculations, report and plan preparation, quantity calculations, construction details, specifications, cost estimates, and other related tasks;
  • Collaborate with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects;
  • Review and check engineering work completed by others;
  • Maintain positive client and vendor relationships;
  • Mentor staff engineers;
  • Report to the Vice President of Water Resources.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering;
  • 6-15 years of water resources experience;
  • Illinois and/or Indiana Professional Engineer (PE) license;
  • Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) certification a plus;
  • Strong technical skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment on multidisciplinary projects;
  • Microstation proficiency; AutoCad experience a plus;
  • Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic models, including HEC-RAS and SWMM;
  • Experience on municipal and/or highway drainage design projects.
