Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our team at U.S. Bridge. As a key member of our Engineering Department, you will play a critical role in developing design documentation for bridge projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Project Engineers to complete engineering tasks for bridge projects
  • Utilize structural analysis and engineering design tools to develop bridge designs
  • Apply CAD modeling software to advance designed elements into bridge layouts, sections, details, and material sizes
  • Prepare Material Take-Off Estimates (MTOs) using spreadsheets and software
  • Assist with field reconnaissance and develop as-built records

Requirements:

  • 4-Year Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE)
  • Engineer-in-training (EIT) certificate preferred
  • General knowledge of structural analysis, structural analysis methods, finite element analysis methods, mechanics of materials, and related software programs
  • Exposure to AASHTO Standard and LRFD Highway Bridge Specifications
  • Proficiency in bridge analysis software such as STAAD Pro, GT STRUDL, Midas Civil, or LARSA 4D, LEAP, etc.

Work Environment:

  • General office environment with occasional visits to fabricating shops
  • Collaborative teamwork
  • Occasional travel required to job sites or training facilities
