Job Summary

This role is responsible for coordinating logistics, optimizing freight, and managing inventory to ensure seamless production and delivery. The successful candidate will work closely with the Plant Manager, Supply Chain Manager, and Director of Operations to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and control all transportation operations in liaison with sales administration and production department.
  • Complete and compile paperwork for customer shipments, including NAFTA, MSDS, bills of lading, and manifests.
  • Manage contracts with vendors for services and rates relative to facility upkeep and office equipment.
  • Monitor and maintain virtual inventory for remote terminals, reconcile, and report month-end numbers to the corporate office.
  • Create and maintain preventative maintenance schedules for trucks and other related equipment, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and 1-2 years' experience or equivalent combination (HS+5-6 years' experience).
  • Understanding of logistics costs and international freight.
  • Able to manage supplier relationships, contract negotiations, etc. with facility-related vendors.
  • Proficiency in EXCEL and working with an ERP system.
  • Self-motivated, capable of seeking quality solutions and continuously focusing on process improvements.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
