About the Position

This role is critical to promoting a positive image of the university and building lasting relationships with students, parents, and the CNU community. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

The Assistant Director of University Events will oversee logistical arrangements for all events at the President's House, including rentals and outside events. This involves managing facility and menu negotiations, making recommendations for improvements from post-event evaluations, and developing detailed guidelines and protocols for managing events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and serve as host for all events at the President's House.
  • Develop and maintain detailed guidelines and protocols for managing events.
  • Oversee logistical arrangements for events, including facility and menu negotiations.
  • Create original graphic and written content for invitations, signage, print, and digital collateral materials.

Requirements

  • A Master's Degree in a related field or a Bachelor's Degree plus experience equating to an advanced degree.
  • Experience managing budgets, basic graphic design skills, and knowledge of event setup and breakdown procedures.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, ability to communicate effectively, and experience working independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and app-based event management tools.
