We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Laundry Attendant to join our team at MCR Hotels. As a Laundry Attendant, you will be responsible for maintaining a constant supply of clean linens for our hotel.
Key Responsibilities:- Process linens through all stages, including collection, transportation, sorting, weighing, loading, and unloading of washers, dryers, and laundry chutes.
- Wash and dry all dirty linens, towels, rags, etc., as directed by management.
- Remove and sort dirty linens and towels from laundry carts.
- Fold linens/towels and stock linen carts, as required.
- Understand operation of washing machines and dryers.
- Clean dryer filter daily and maintain all equipment as trained.
- Practice safe work habits to ensure safety for guests and fellow employees.
- Sweep and mop laundry floors, storing all linens off the floor.
- Keep laundry carts clean and free of debris.
- Be familiar with all Company policies and Brand Standards.
- Stock all linen closets throughout the hotel, as applicable.
- Must have a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively and clearly.
- Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
- Must be able to constantly push/pull laundry carts (empty and full), with potential weight between pounds.
- Must be able to occasionally pull linens from washer to dryer, with potential weight between 25-150lbs.
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
- Must have a desire to serve all guests.
- Must be 18 years of age or older to perform this job.
