Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Radiologic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Indiana University Health. This full-time role operates during daytime hours, specifically Monday through Friday. The successful candidate will be the lead technologist within the department, ensuring high-quality imaging services are delivered to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

The Radiologic Imaging Specialist will be responsible for conducting diagnostic imaging procedures utilizing radioactive materials to assess bodily functions, perform organ imaging, and analyze biological samples efficiently. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of patient care across all age groups, from pediatric to geriatric.

Essential duties include:
  • Executing physician-directed protocols, preparing and managing imaging equipment, and accurately positioning patients to capture the necessary diagnostic images.
  • Providing compassionate care and maintaining a respectful environment for all patients.
  • Maintaining certifications, including Basic Life Support, and obtaining Advanced Life Support certification if required.
  • Holding active credentials from recognized bodies such as the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board, or being a recent graduate from an accredited Nuclear Medicine training program.
  • Acquiring Computed Tomography (CT) certification within the specified timeframe if performing SPECT/CT or PET/CT imaging.
  • Possessing a current Indiana State Department of Health license as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
  • Demonstrating the ability to adapt equipment and positioning techniques to accommodate patient needs.
