Balochi Linguist

Leidos is seeking experienced and highly qualified Senior Spanish Translators/Linguists to support the company's National Security Programs. The linguist will perform a full range of activities in processing materials or participating in situations requiring a general professional capability.

• Accurately translate reports/texts in electronic and hard-copy formats, capturing intended implications and nuances.
• Capture geopolitical, regional, ethnic, and cultural elements in text.
• Operate successively in the subject field, adhering to target language norms and means of expression.
• Interpret accurately, with consecutive interpretation being the primary requirement.
• Transcribe audio or internet materials with high accuracy and expression.
• Identify and summarize factual points and abstract concepts, triaging documentation to isolate pertinent and nuanced information.
• Master the use of reference materials and possess excellent English-language written and verbal communication skills.

• BA/BS and equivalent formal military training.
• 8+ years of related work experience.
• Experience deployed as a linguist supporting contingency operations.
• Knowledge of U.S. Intelligence Community, military, cryptologic, law enforcement experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing in Target and English.

• Proficiency in multiple languages.
• Experience working in the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area (WMA).
