Position Summary:

The Claims Processing Specialist plays a crucial role in managing warranty claims efficiently and accurately. This position involves meticulous review and processing of warranty claims generated by technicians, ensuring all submissions to vendors are correct and complete.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Thoroughly review and amend warranty claims submitted by technicians prior to vendor submission.
  • Handle all warranty claims for Crown and other manufacturers represented by the company.
  • Analyze monthly accounts receivable reports related to vendor warranty accounts.
  • Manage all warranty claim documentation, tracking claims from submission through to payment or rejection.
  • Maintain organized records of warranty claims.
  • Monitor rejected warranty claims and communicate with the Service Manager regarding these issues.
  • Compile a monthly report of unpaid warranties and assess their status.
  • Resubmit warranty claims as necessary.
  • Oversee the maintenance, shipping, and tracking of warranty parts to vendors or for disposal as required.
  • Evaluate the status of warranty parts returned from vendors due to rejected claims.
  • Provide assistance to other parts personnel as needed, including receiving parts and managing phone inquiries.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities.
  • Numerical perception and proficiency in computer skills are essential.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Experience in parts or inventory control, as well as familiarity with the lift truck industry, is preferred.

Compensation:

The pay range for this role is between $19.00 and $26.00 per hour.
