Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Fixed Asset Inventory Specialist to join our team at Bexar County, TX. As a key member of our Purchasing and Procurement department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date inventory records, preparing reports, and performing data entry tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reconcile inventory discrepancies and investigate reasons for errors
  • Communicate with stakeholders to provide information and support for reports
  • Scan and verify inventory records for stolen, lost, or destroyed assets
  • Inspect and tag new fixed assets prior to acceptance into the inventory system
  • Assist in identifying assets for auction and perform other duties as required
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED and two years' experience in supply, purchasing, and inventory control
  • Knowledge of general office procedures and ability to maintain records and documents
  • Ability to operate personal computers and basic office equipment
  • Must secure and maintain a favorable background investigation and clearance, as well as a pre-employment physical and drug screen test
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Texas driver's license
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Constantly working in indoor conditions
  • Frequently moves items weighing up to 10-30 pounds
  • Occasionally moves items weighing up to 30-75 pounds
  • Frequently bend or twist body
  • Frequently use hands to handle, control, or feel objects
