About the Role

In this critical care practitioner position, you'll have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of our patients and their families. You'll work closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct respiratory care to patients in acute, chronic, and emergency situations
  • Work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement respiratory care plans
  • Select, assemble, and check respiratory care equipment for proper function, operation, and cleanliness
  • Mix medications for aerosolization prior to treatment
  • Review patients' medical history, patient chart, respiratory care orders, physician examination, pulmonary function values, blood gas results, and additional laboratory data to assist in developing a respiratory care plan for the patient
  • Monitor and evaluate the patient's response to respiratory therapy and communicate findings to other members of the healthcare team
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following qualifications:

  • Currently certified as a Respiratory Therapy Technician (RTT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care
  • Licensed as a Respiratory Care Professional (RCP) by the state of Georgia
  • BLS certification required
