Job Summary

As a Class A Hazmat Driver for Fuel Delivery, you will play a critical role in transporting fuel from the Port of Albany/Newburgh to various locations within and around the Capital District. Your primary responsibilities include ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of fuel products to gas stations while adhering to hazardous materials transportation regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver fuel products to gas stations safely and efficiently, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Conduct regular vehicle inspections to ensure all safety equipment is functioning properly and the vehicle is in good working order.
  • Manage communications with colleagues to ensure efficient delivery and billing processes.
  • Inspect the vehicle to ensure it is properly equipped with warning lights, flags, and labels indicating hazardous materials are being carried.
  • Ensure all necessary paperwork is completed and filed in accordance with federal regulations.
  • Maintain detailed records of all shipments of hazardous materials.
  • Follow standard operating procedures for loading and unloading hazardous materials safely and efficiently.
Requirements
  • Class A License with Tank/Hazmat Endorsement
  • TWIC Card
  • Driver Abstract will need to be supplied upon request
  • Ability to read and write and compute basic math
  • Basic Literacy and Numeracy: Ability to read, write, and compute basic math.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand, sit, stoop, bend, and crouch for extended periods. Capability to lift at least 50 pounds personally and up to 150 pounds with assistance.
  • Work Environment: Outdoor work in all weather conditions, with regular proximity to heavy equipment and moving machinery.
