Diesel Mechanic Technician

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Quantix. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of our company equipment, including preventative maintenance and repairs ranging from minor to major on Class 8 tractors and trailers.

• Conduct maintenance, preventative maintenance, on company equipment at a remote, onsite facility.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic malfunctions.
• Perform Preventable Maintenance (P.M) inspections to ensure DOT requirements are met.
• Complete required documentation for vehicle repairs and parts usage.
• Perform other tasks/projects as instructed by the Director and VP of Fleet Maintenance.
• Ensure compliance within the safety rules and regulations.
• Perform all duties outside in various weather conditions.

• Valid Driver's license (CDL not required).
• Must be able to pass background check.
• Must have a Toolbox.
• Automotive/Mechanical Trade or Vocational certification preferred. ASE certification preferred Diesel.
• Minimum of 1 year of Technician experience with Class 8 Tractor & Trailer (no exceptions).

The ability to enter and exit the driver's compartment of the truck and/or behind cab using normally available footholds and handholds is required. The ability to move and position objects weighing up to 50 pounds is also required. Additionally, the ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel and crawl to inspect and or wash vehicles is necessary.
