Crescent City Skilled Nursing is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Rehabilitation Director to lead our rehabilitation team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of our rehabilitation programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Program Development and Implementation: Develop and maintain systems that enhance our facility's approach to interdisciplinary care, ensuring compliance with facility policies, procedures, clinical standards, and protocols.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with documentation guidelines and regulatory requirements, including completion of monthly documentation audits, and implement new patient programs in accordance with facility policies.
- Leadership and Management: Communicate regularly with the Administrator and Regional Rehab Consultant, determine the need for consultant visits and assistance, and ensure timely evaluation and treatment of patients in the most efficient and effective manner possible.
- Financial Management: Monitor financial performance of the rehab department and effectively seek methods to improve this performance while ensuring that facility standards are consistently observed.
- Census Development and Marketing: Contribute effectively to the census development/marketing efforts of the facility, including managing key relationships with hospital therapists, physicians, key hospital staff, managed care providers, rehab suppliers, and other key referral sources.
- Staff Development and Education: Contribute to the professional development of self and rehabilitation staff, including maintaining current professional status and licensure, adhering to professional standards of conduct and clinical code of ethics/practice, and providing new employee orientation and ongoing staff development programs.
- Culture and Safety: Aids in building and maintaining a positive facility culture as a professional member of the staff, consistently demonstrating positive core values while interacting with co-workers, patients, and families, and ensuring compliance with facility and regulatory safety practices.
- Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited program for Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, or Speech-Language Pathology preferred, and must possess and maintain a current license in the state of practice as required.
- Skills and Abilities: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated leadership and management skills, skills applicable to clinical discipline, and ability to communicate effectively and positively with all facility staff.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift and transfer patients to and from all surfaces a minimum of 10 times per day, and must be able to lift approximately 50-70 pounds a minimum of 10 times per day.
- Competitive Salary: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
