Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Therapist to join our team at Ascension Via Christi. As a key member of our Rehabilitation Services department, you will be responsible for leading assigned staff in performing activities or tasks in therapy services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead or coordinate shift operations of assigned activities, resources, and/or associates.
  • Serve as a technical or functional resource and performs similar duties with staff.
  • Assign, monitor and review progress of work. Monitor and report compliance with policies and/or procedures.
  • Oversee and evaluate orientation and training of assigned associates.
Requirements
  • Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • One or more of the following required:
    • Rehab Therapist specializing in Physical Therapy Asst credentialed from the Kansas Board of Healing Arts obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    • Rehab Therapist specializing in Occupational Therapy (COTA) credentialed from the Kansas Board of Healing Arts obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Education: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hospital acute care experience preferred.
