Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Fertilizer and Crop Protection Specialist to join our team in Lemmon, SD. This role involves working as a hybrid driver and applicator, applying fertilizer and crop protection products to agricultural fields while also operating a truck for product transportation.

Responsibilities
  • Apply fertilizer and crop protection products under general supervision, using high-clearance sprayers or floaters as required.
  • Pick up and deliver products to customers as needed, ensuring timely and efficient service.
  • Work with customers in a professional and courteous manner, educating them on products being applied, techniques used, and how to continue receiving support.
  • Assist sales staff in ensuring orders are accurate and customer needs are met.
  • Perform warehouse duties, including driving a loader, forklift, and performing maintenance tasks.
  • Lift and load products daily, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations, including pre-trip and post-trip reporting, load securement, and hours of service.
Requirements
  • 1+ years of experience in agriculture production, operations, or application.
  • Meet minimum age requirement.
  • Maintain or obtain CDL and DOT medical card.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Hazmat, Tanker, and Air Brake endorsements preferred.
  • Agriculture background and customer experience preferred.
