About the Role

Festus Manor Nursing Center is seeking a skilled Housekeeping Aide to join our team. As a Housekeeping Aide, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled housekeeping tasks as assigned by the housekeeping supervisor.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of living areas, furniture, fixtures, vents, lavatories, and basins.
  • Use proper chemicals, tools, and equipment to dust and clean assigned areas.
  • Empties trash containers, replaces liners as appropriate, and disposes of trash in proper receptacles.
  • Vacuums and/or shampoos carpets as directed by supervisor.
  • Report repair needs to supervisor or maintenance department as appropriate.
  • Requests needed supplies or maintenance department as appropriate.
  • Identifies and corrects safety hazards and abides by safety rules.
Requirements
  • Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.
  • Experience in institutional housekeeping or maintenance is helpful.
  • Experience in the use of floor-care equipment is helpful.
Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to sit; use hands or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
