Job Summary

Price Industries is seeking a highly skilled Production Supervisor to join our team at our Winder, Georgia facility. As a key member of our manufacturing department, you will be responsible for overseeing the production activities and ensuring the overall performance of the department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Improve efficiency and utilization of the production department
  • Ensure quality of products and effective resolution of quality issues
  • Identify problem root cause and implement corrective and preventive measures
  • Utilize functional support departments to resolve quality issues
  • Identify and resolve safety concerns
  • Bring multiple product lines together to meet manufacturing plan
  • Ensure work instructions, procedures, and policies are followed
  • Motivate department members through involvement, communication, and positive reinforcement
  • Provide employees with feedback through formal and informal performance evaluations
  • Monitor attendance and take disciplinary steps as required
  • Deal with grievances and conflicts in a calm, controlled, and professional manner
  • Manage manpower planning and effective staffing
  • Ensure effective training and cross-training
  • Mentor and develop lead-hands to manage hour-by-hour manufacturing operations
  • Drive continuous improvement within departments to achieve better quality, efficient productivity, and delivery performance
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing and other techniques
  • Ensure daily shop clean-up actions are performed effectively and required daily machine preventive maintenance actions are carried out as required
Requirements
  • Ability to work effectively in a multitasking environment and work constructively under pressure
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Exceptional leadership skills with a sense of urgency and strong aptitude
  • Ability to create accountability and lead by example
  • Ability to make sound and timely decisions
  • Ability to develop, maintain, and motivate a strong team
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Must be organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to solve practical problems and difficult situations
  • Ability to pass a drug screen and background check
Education and Experience
  • College degree or high school with 5 years of experience
  • 3-5 years of supervision role with a proven track record in a high-volume, multi-product environment
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing
  • Comfortable in a team-oriented environment
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Bilingual in Spanish is highly preferred
