About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Floor Maintenance Technician to join our team at Campus Services Group in Villanova, PA. This is a full-time position offering excellent benefits and growth opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain the overall floor maintenance of hard surface and carpeted areas, including offices, lobbies, classrooms, entrances, stairwells, and other public spaces.
  • Utilize protective gear in all appropriate functions and perform cleaning activities within established guidelines and assigned areas.
  • Ensure quality standards, safety guidelines, and customer service expectations are met.
  • Report equipment and cleaning product needs or malfunctions to the supervisor in a timely fashion.
  • Mix and use cleaning solutions safely and adhere to all safety precautions.
  • Collect trash and recycling for proper disposal.
  • Pull, push, carry weight up to 50 pounds, twist, bend, and reach from floor to waist height and from waist to above head.
  • Apply stripper to floors to remove old wax and refinish with new wax product.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Previous school custodial/janitorial experience is preferred.
  • Minimum 1 1/2 years' experience in floor care is preferred, but on-site training is provided.
  • Knowledge of how to strip, wax, and burnish floors with minimal to no assistance after initial training.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to cooperate with coworkers and staff.
  • Willingness to perform routine tasks on a continuous basis.
