Job Title: Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Progressive Care Unit at Sarah Bush Lincoln Hospital System. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized patient care delivery. You will provide clinical leadership to the patient care team for the assigned shift and work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:
Analyze assessment data to determine actual or potential diagnosis, problems, and issues.
Assess patients' conditions and care delivery through direct observation, rounding, and data input from other team members.
Collect pertinent data and information relative to the patient's health or the situation.
Recognize normal and abnormal findings when gathering data.
Coordinate bed and patient care assignments during shift and in preparation for the next shift to ensure consistency in care delivery.
Document and report care delivered to the physicians and other team members as needed.
Enhance professional growth through classes related to communication, teaching, stress management, conflict resolution, team building annually.
Evaluate progress toward attainment of goals and outcomes. Report data and outcomes to as appropriate to physician and/or other disciplines.
Implement care and supervise care delivered by other team members in alignment with the plan of care and approved safety and infection control standards.
Knowledge - In collaboration with Leader/Director, actively pursues required knowledge and skills through orientation activities specific to the unit, unit based in-service programs, reading current literature and seeking new clinical learning opportunities.
Outcomes Identification - Identifies expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient or situation.
Planning - Develops a plan that prescribes strategies to attain expected, measurable outcomes.
Plans and evaluates care in collaboration with appropriate disciplines for assigned patients.
Provides leadership and supervision to health care team during assigned shift.
Provides performance feedback to team members input to Manager/Director regarding appraisals.
Relationships - Establishes effective working relationships with peers, physicians, and other members of the health care team.
Serves as strong, positive role model for other health care team members.
Teaching - Employs teaching strategies to promote health and a safe environment.

Requirements:
ADN (Required)
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support W/I 90 Days - Sarah Bush Lincoln
BLS or CPR certification within 90 days of hire. - Sarah Bush Lincoln
RN-Registered Nurse - State of Illinois
