Psychiatric Technician, First Shift, 32 Hours Weekly, Lotus Unit

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Psychiatric Technician to join our team at Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services. As a Psychiatric Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to individuals with mental illness and developmental delays.
Key Responsibilities- Provide a safe and secure environment for individuals served and staff in both individual and group settings.
- Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Assist individuals with personal care needs, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Participate in crisis intervention and prevention, including de-escalation techniques and emergency response.
- Document progress notes, medication administration, and other relevant information.
- Monitor and report any potential safety risks or concerns.
- Perform household duties, such as cleaning and laundry, as needed.
- Drive and escort individuals to community outings and appointments.
- Completion of a minimum of six months post-high school education in behavioral sciences or equivalent.
- CNA certification or one to two years of college education is preferred.
