At Amergis, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Psychiatric Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Psychiatric Registered Nurse at Amergis, you will play a vital role in promoting the well-being of individuals and families affected by mental health and substance use disorders.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a dedicated Registered Nurse to make a positive impact on people's lives. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients in a variety of settings, including psychiatric facilities.

Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in a psychiatric facility setting
  • Partner with individuals to achieve their recovery goals
  • Provide health promotion and maintenance
  • Conduct intake screening, evaluation, and triage
  • Provide case management
  • Teach self-care activities
  • Administer and monitor psychobiological treatment regimens
  • Practice crisis intervention and stabilization
  • Engage in psychiatric rehabilitation and intervention
  • Educate patients, families, and communities
  • Coordinate care within interdisciplinary teams
Requirements
  • Current Registered Nurse Licensure in-state practicing
  • Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
  • Participation and completion of Amergis' Competency program when applicable
  • Current CPR if applicable
  • TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
  • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
  • Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
  • Successful completion of new hire training as applicable to job site
  • Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements
  • Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language is required
  • Computer proficiency required
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
