POSITION SUMMARY:

Facilitates the diagnosis of patient conditions by utilizing imaging technology to create radiographic images.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establishes rapport with patients and stakeholders to determine service needs.
  • Ensures the functionality of imaging equipment through routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Manages inventory of imaging supplies by monitoring stock levels and placing orders as necessary.
  • Adheres to legal and professional standards by staying informed on regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Enhances professional knowledge by participating in training and professional development opportunities.
  • Maintains a safe and organized work environment by following established protocols.
  • Assists patients in feeling at ease by providing clear explanations of procedures and addressing concerns.
  • Prepares patients for imaging procedures by positioning them correctly and adjusting equipment settings.
  • Minimizes radiation exposure through the application of safety techniques and equipment adjustments.
  • Ensures patient and staff safety by following infection control measures and emergency protocols.
  • Maintains the quality of radiographic images by adhering to established procedures and standards.
  • Documents patient interactions and imaging services in appropriate records.
  • Contributes to team objectives by supporting colleagues and collaborating on tasks.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Completes orientation and training as required by the facility.
  • Follows safety regulations and protocols while on duty.
  • Respects the cultural and religious beliefs of patients.
  • Maintains confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Demonstrates reliability and punctuality for scheduled shifts.

Position Requirements:

  • Education: Associate's Degree in Applied Science.
  • Certification: Valid Radiology License from the state of Texas (ARRT), Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital setting.
