Construction Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Manager to oversee and direct the performance of all field construction activities for assigned projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management and the ability to lead a team of construction craftsmen and contractors.
The Construction Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all construction activities are carried out in accordance with project plans, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates. This includes coordinating and directing construction resources, monitoring productivity and cost, and implementing actions to maintain maximum labor productivity and cost-effectiveness.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders. A strong understanding of construction management principles, practices, and procedures is essential, as well as the ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal statutes and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and direct the performance of all field construction activities for assigned projects
- Coordinate and direct construction resources, including workforce, materials, tools, and equipment
- Monitor productivity and cost, and implement actions to maintain maximum labor productivity and cost-effectiveness
- Ensure that all construction activities are carried out in accordance with project plans, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates
- Develop and implement safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment
Requirements:
- Accredited four-year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and sixteen years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to twenty years if non-degreed
- Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders
- Job-related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
- Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal statutes and guidelines
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven ability promoting outstanding customer service and client relations
- Excellent skills in interpersonal relations, conflict resolution, communication, and leadership
- Basic computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheets, and electronic presentation programs
- Competency in administrative functions related to project and office operations
