The Digital Pathology Coordinator-Anatomic Pathology will be responsible for supporting the operation of whole slide imaging systems and software platforms, performing high-quality scans, associated quality assessments, and maintaining equipment. The Digital Pathology Coordinator will work closely with the pathology laboratory staff and pathologists to ensure that the digital imaging and analysis of specimens meet the required standards for accurate diagnosis. The Digital Pathology Coordinator will report directly to the Director of Operations, Anatomic Pathology at the Main Campus with dotted line reporting to the Assistant Director Anatomic Pathology at LI. Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee digital pathology workflow in conjunction with site Managers and Digital Pathology Quality Manager.
  • Operate and maintain whole slide imaging systems and software platforms.
  • Prepare and scan slides for digital analysis.
  • Perform quality control assessments and quality assurance of digital pathology images.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and standards.
  • Collaborate with pathology laboratory and other team members to optimize workflows.
  • Perform data entry associated with digital pathology systems and manage data sets as needed.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and communicate with technical support teams.
  • Maintain equipment and perform regular maintenance checks to ensure equipment is properly functioning.
  • Manage digital slide inventory.
  • Work on OSR related projects under the direction of Operations manager.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or physical sciences from an accredited college or university.
  • Excellent computer, Microsoft Office (Excel), and project presentation skills.
  • Working knowledge of improvement methodology.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in anatomic pathology.
  • Master's degree, CPHQ/CPPS, Lean, Six Sigma certification.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
