Position Summary
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional food and beverage service to our guests. Your role will involve maintaining cleanliness and organization in the bar area while ensuring a high standard of service.
Key Responsibilities
- Craft and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for patrons and staff.
- Take orders for drinks and food at the bar, providing detailed descriptions and recommendations.
- Restock bar supplies and manage inventory efficiently.
- Conduct opening and closing inventory checks for all beverage items.
- Ensure all alcoholic products are stored securely and in compliance with safety regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of garnishes and other bar-related tasks.
- Maintain cleanliness of bar equipment and appliances.
- Verify guest identification to ensure compliance with legal drinking age requirements.
- Provide assistance to servers and other staff as needed.
- Participate in the thorough cleaning of the bar area.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and in accordance with company policies.
- Deliver outstanding customer service to all guests.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
In addition to the essential responsibilities, you may be required to:
- Assist guests with inquiries and requests.
- Adhere to all safety and security protocols.
- Report any maintenance or safety issues promptly.
- Complete other reasonable tasks as directed by supervisors.
- Work primarily indoors, with exposure to varying temperatures.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and manage physical tasks.
- Lifting up to 45 lbs. and maneuvering equipment as necessary.
- Effective communication skills are essential for interaction with guests and team members.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in a high-volume bar environment.
- Knowledge of beverage preparation and service.
- Basic computer and mathematical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Previous experience in a bar setting is preferred.
Licenses and Certifications
- Must be at least 21 years old to serve alcohol.
- Relevant alcohol service certifications are required.
All staff members are expected to maintain a professional appearance in accordance with Azul Hospitality standards.
Attendance Policy
Regular attendance is crucial for success in this role. Staff members are expected to comply with attendance policies and participate in scheduled training sessions.
