About the RoleThis is a unique opportunity to work as a hospice nurse covering on-call shifts every weekend from Friday 4:00 pm to Monday 8:00 am. As a Weekend Hospice Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients in their homes or care facilities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.
You will deliver direct care by administering medications, consulting with healthcare providers, and updating patient records. You will also maintain open communication with patients and their families, addressing their concerns and needs in a sensitive and empathetic manner.
Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and updating patient records
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions, treatments, and progress
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care coordination
- Cover on-call shifts every weekend from Friday 4:00 pm to Monday 8:00 am, responding promptly to patient needs and emergencies
- Current RN license in good standing from the State of Iowa
- Valid Iowa driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Competitive salary of $84,000 per year
