Speech Therapist for Special Education

Spectrum Center Schools and Programs is a dynamic organization dedicated to providing hope and support to students with diverse needs. We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Therapist to join our award-winning team and make a meaningful impact in the lives of our students.

About the Role:

  • We offer a competitive salary range of $75,000 - $100,000 per year, based on experience, plus a $5,000 sign-on bonus.
  • As a Speech Therapist, you will provide speech therapy services to designated students, developing individualized treatment plans to achieve speech therapy goals and improve overall speech functioning.
  • You will work closely with educators, parents, and guardians to consult on student progress, write IEP goals, and attend meetings as needed.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Evaluating and implementing individualized speech therapy programs for each student, based on treatment plan goals developed in partnership with educators and parents.
  • Monitoring student progress and providing regular updates to ensure effective communication and collaboration with the school staff.
  • Employing evidence-based speech therapy strategies and techniques to improve receptive and expressive language, cognition, and memory skills.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation, including session notes, treatment plans, and billing information.
  • Establishing effective communication with families regarding scheduling sessions and making up missed appointments.

Requirements:

  • A Master's degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field.
  • A state-issued Speech Language Pathology (SLP) license, or eligibility to obtain one.
  • Prior experience working in special education services, particularly with students with autism-related disabilities and emotional disturbance.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement effective treatment plans, with a focus on personalized instruction and problem-solving.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, parents, and students.
