We're seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team at AZPetVet. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our furry patients and delivering exceptional customer service to their owners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the doctor with medical procedures, including surgery, under their direct supervision
- Provide high-quality care to all pets in the hospital's care and demonstrate excellent customer service to clients
- Deliver exceptional customer service to clients and their pets
- Assist in surgery care, including pre-anesthetic protocol, anesthesia monitoring, and post-operative care
- Manage medical records through practice management software
- Dispense medication, perform x-rays, and provide treatments as needed
- Set-up, breakdown, cleaning, and maintaining of medical equipment
- Assist with cleaning all areas of the hospital
Requirements:
- Comfortable interacting with animals of all kinds with calm and compassion
- Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills
- Ability to lift at least 40 pounds
- Certified veterinary technician (preferred)
- Associate degree in veterinary assisting (preferred)
