Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Henrico Doctors' Hospital Forest. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing nuclear medicine procedures, preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals, and interacting with physicians to adjust diagnostic studies.

Responsibilities
  • Perform nuclear medicine procedures, including calibration and quality checks, while practicing radiation safety and observing universal precautions.
  • Order, prepare, and store radiopharmaceuticals, and administer intravenous or venous line injections as authorized by physicians.
  • Interact with physicians to adjust diagnostic studies and manipulate raw data.
  • Review studies for correct positioning and overall quality, and perform decontamination procedures.
  • Participate in on-call duties and/or work variable shifts to meet department needs.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nuclear medicine technology.
  • Certification by CNMT or ARRT in nuclear medicine licensure.
  • Basic life support certification.
  • Ability to perform nuclear medicine procedures following accepted standards and protocols.
