Position Overview
The Oregon Child Development Coalition (OCDC) is seeking a dedicated individual to support the management and oversight of our county operations. This role is essential in ensuring that our programs meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee program evaluation processes, including preparation for Self-Assessments and SAMOA monitoring, ensuring all service areas are effectively managed.
- Support the Program Director in maintaining adherence to Head Start Performance Standards alongside state and federal regulations.
- Manage specific programs such as Migrant and Seasonal Head Start, including responsibilities for planning, budgeting, staffing, and compliance.
- Collaborate with Site Coordinators to ensure that all center certifications meet federal, state, and local regulations.
- In the absence of the Program Director, assume leadership responsibilities to foster a secure environment for staff, children, and families.
- Work closely with the Program Director to maintain fiscal integrity and operational efficiency across the county.
- Encourage and facilitate parental involvement throughout the program to enhance community engagement.
- Assist in the administration of county personnel and support the development of a cohesive team.
- Ensure positive performance outcomes for program staff through effective management and support.
- Adhere to Workers Compensation requirements and promote occupational safety and health practices.
- Commit to ongoing professional development and maintain current knowledge in the field.
- Safeguard the confidentiality of agency operations and uphold the integrity of the organization.
- Act as a Mandatory First Responder in emergency situations, demonstrating leadership in safety practices.
Qualifications
A minimum of an AA/AS degree in Business Management or Early Childhood Education (ECE) is required, along with three years of experience in a management role within a related field. Alternatively, a combination of education and five years of experience in program planning, management, and staff supervision will be considered.
