Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and passionate Photographer Editor to join our team at Fox Service Company. As a key member of our newsroom, you will be responsible for shooting and editing high-quality visual content for our breaking news and multi-platform content.
Key Responsibilities:
- Shoot and edit high-quality visual content for breaking news and multi-platform content
- Work collaboratively with other content creators in the newsroom to produce engaging and informative content
- Must be a self-starter, able to handle live breaking news events, work well under pressure, and maintain all legal and journalistic standards
- Ability to complete tasks with a quick turnaround for traditional linear newscasts and digital platforms
- Familiarity with various transmission technologies, including cellular backpack technology, microwave, and news satellite trucks
- Knowledge of non-linear editing software, Edius or similar platform
- Ability to set up live remotes and complete other assignments independently as necessary
- Good writing skills a plus
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in journalism or related field preferred
- Experience as a photographer editor in a medium to large market preferred
- Familiarity with newsroom computer systems
- Ability to do some traveling as required
- Fluency in Spanish a plus
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, overnights, and holidays as required
- Must have a valid driver's license
