Position Overview

Advanced Dermatology, P.C. is in search of a skilled Healthcare Billing Specialist to become a vital part of our team.

*This position requires on-site presence; remote work is not an option.*

Experience Requirement:

A minimum of 6 months to 1 year of experience in medical billing is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately preparing and submitting billing information and medical claims to insurance providers while ensuring proper coding practices.
  • Maintaining up-to-date and precise patient medical records.
  • Generating invoices and bills, documenting amounts owed for medical services rendered.
  • Recording payments in the system and reviewing payment explanations for accuracy, notifying the accounts receivable follow-up team of any discrepancies.
  • Identifying and reporting trends in denied claims or payment issues to management for further action.

Qualifications:

  • At least 6 months to 1 year of experience in a medical billing role or a related field.
  • Strong familiarity with billing software and electronic health records; experience with Modernizing Medicine is advantageous.
  • Ability to effectively multitask and manage time in a dynamic work environment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and organizational skills.
