Experience Requirement:
A minimum of 6 months to 1 year of experience in medical billing is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately preparing and submitting billing information and medical claims to insurance providers while ensuring proper coding practices.
- Maintaining up-to-date and precise patient medical records.
- Generating invoices and bills, documenting amounts owed for medical services rendered.
- Recording payments in the system and reviewing payment explanations for accuracy, notifying the accounts receivable follow-up team of any discrepancies.
- Identifying and reporting trends in denied claims or payment issues to management for further action.
Qualifications:
- At least 6 months to 1 year of experience in a medical billing role or a related field.
- Strong familiarity with billing software and electronic health records; experience with Modernizing Medicine is advantageous.
- Ability to effectively multitask and manage time in a dynamic work environment.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and organizational skills.
