Position Overview: Aspirus Wausau Hospital is in search of a Radiological Physics Specialist to enhance our dedicated team.

The Radiological Physics Specialist will undertake responsibilities that necessitate advanced expertise in radiological physics within the Aspirus framework. This role operates under the guidance of the Senior Radiological Physics Specialist.

Work Schedule: Full Time or 1.0 FTE, 80 hours per pay period. Standard hours are Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in medical physics or physical sciences, including residency or fellowship, is required.
  • A minimum of two years of prior clinical experience as a hospital medical physicist or radiation physicist is essential.
  • Must meet the eligibility criteria to sit for Part 1 of the Medical Physicist certification through the American Board of Radiology.
  • Familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations regarding the use of radioactive materials in a healthcare setting.
  • Ability to set objectives, frameworks, and processes necessary to implement a mission and strategic vision, ensuring a safe work environment for all personnel involved with radiation and/or radioactive materials.
  • Proficient in networking and fostering effective partnerships with key committees, groups, and individuals.
  • Possesses consultation and change management capabilities.
