Langan Engineering and Environmental Services, Inc. is seeking a skilled Survey Technician to join its team in Parsippany, NJ. This individual will play a key role in supporting land development projects, collecting field data, and preparing survey maps and CAD files.

Responsibilities include:

  • Recovery of survey control and monumentation
  • Boundary, topographic, and utility surveys
  • Construction layout and photo documentation
  • Supporting the survey crew in obtaining invert and subsurface utility information
  • Assisting with office tasks, including CAD drafting, data download, deed and map research, and filing
  • Maintaining survey equipment and initiating repairs when necessary
  • Staying current on surveying practices, guidelines, and best management practices

Requirements include:

  • High school diploma
  • Entry to 2 years of related experience
  • Experience with survey instrumentation and data collectors
  • Willingness to work away from the office at various project sites
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical skills
  • Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment
