Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Specimen Collector to join our team in Gary, IN. This part-time position requires an individual with strong people skills and reliable transportation to collect, log, order, process, and ship urine, oral, and/or hair specimens to the laboratory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect, log, order, process, and ship urine, oral, and/or hair specimens to the laboratory
  • Maintain organization in the collection of all specimens
  • Assemble samples for shipping
  • File requisitions, chain of custody forms, and associated paperwork
  • Collect and scan insurance, as applicable
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience in a medical office or treatment clinic preferred but not required
  • Ability to read names, test codes, follow basic instructions
  • Basic computer skills required
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work under and meet strict deadlines individually as well as in a team environment
Salary Information

The salary range for this position is $21-24 per hour, depending on experience. Relocation to Gary, IN is required before starting work.
