Operating Room Nurse PRN

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Nurse to join our team at Doctors Same Day Surgery, a leading provider of healthcare services. As a key member of our ambulatory surgery center, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective care of our patients.
Responsibilities- Oversee the instrument and equipment set-up for your OR, utilizing preference cards and anticipating the needs of your surgeons.
- Coordinate and oversee your room during a case as the circulator, facilitating effective and efficient transition between surgical procedures.
- Utilize appropriate body mechanics in moving patients to stretchers and OR tables to prevent injury.
- Manage patient care and medication, including assistance with anesthesia.
- Consistently review charts for completeness, in accordance with documentation protocols prior to and after the surgical procedure.
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an operating room setting, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center.
- Active RN license as required by state of employment or appropriate compact licensure.
- Valid BCLS Certification upon employment.
- ACLS as required by facility.
- CNOR certification preferred.
Doctors Same Day Surgery Center is a premier total joint and spine center, located in sunny Sarasota, Florida. We serve Sarasota County and surrounding communities, offering a range of services, including cosmetic, GYN, ophthalmology, orthopedics, ENT, pediatric, podiatry, urology, and infertility procedures. Our center is AAAHC accredited and performs over 400 cases a month.
