Origis Energy Technicians is seeking a skilled Solar Technician to join our team. As a Solar Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing solar power plants to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on solar power plants, including electrical and mechanical systems.
- Troubleshoot system problems and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Conduct daily inspections of equipment and systems to ensure proper functioning.
- Document all work performed, including maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
- Maintain inventory control of assigned equipment and supplies.
- Train and mentor junior technicians to ensure knowledge transfer and skill development.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices through ongoing education and training.
- Valid driver's license required.
- 3 years of relevant experience in solar power plant maintenance or a related field.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to perform basic electrical calculations and read electrical schematics.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage priorities and workflow effectively.
- Ability to lift up to 80 pounds and perform physical tasks as required.
- Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Experience with solar power plant maintenance and repair.
- Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
