Key Responsibilities- Decontamination and Sterilization: Decontaminate and sterilize instruments, medical supplies, and equipment to ensure they are safe for use in patient care.
- Instrument Assembly and Wrapping: Assemble and wrap trays of instruments and medical equipment for sterilization and distribution.
- Inventory Management: Restock, label, and maintain inventory levels of instruments, trays, and medical equipment.
- Environmental Maintenance: Perform environmental maintenance duties to ensure a clean and safe work environment.
- Equipment Maintenance: Verify that equipment functions properly and requisition maintenance, repair, or replacement as needed.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with healthcare staff to ensure timely delivery of processed instruments and equipment.
- Certification: Current certification in good standing in the state of practice.
- Experience: Evidence of minimum one year of current hospital experience.
