Job Overview

The ideal candidate will have experience working as a respiratory therapist in a hospital setting, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. A strong understanding of respiratory care principles and practices is required, as well as excellent communication and patient assessment skills.

Compensation Package

The estimated salary for this position is $105,000 - $145,000 per year, based on 36 hours of work per week and 12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities
  1. Assess patients' respiratory conditions and develop plans to improve their breathing and lung function.
  2. Conduct pulmonary function tests, arterial blood gas analysis, and other diagnostic tests to evaluate patients' respiratory status.
  3. Administer medications and treatments, such as oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, and bronchodilators.
  4. Care for patients with various respiratory conditions, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), pneumonia, and acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS).
  5. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive comprehensive care.
Requirements
  • RRT or CRT credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care.
  • Current state licensure or certification to practice as a respiratory therapist.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working as a respiratory therapist in a hospital setting.
  • Strong knowledge of respiratory care principles and practices.
