Staff Nurse-Pediatrics, ICU

NYC Health + Hospitals is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Staff Nurse-Pediatrics, ICU to join our team. As a key member of our pediatric ICU team, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, and contribute to the development and implementation of nursing care plans.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to pediatric patients in the ICU setting, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account the unique needs and goals of each patient.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to improve patient outcomes.
- Provide education and support to patients and families, promoting health literacy and self-management skills.
- Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Experience working in a pediatric ICU setting, preferably with a focus on critical care.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and populations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
